Yes. Free. I repeat the Color of Love will be a FREE album. However, please don’t get it twisted - This isn’t a mixtape. This isn’t a collection of random songs we threw together. This EP was thought out and executed with precision and artistic integrity.

I received a Facebook message last week from a friend who asked “Why are you giving the album away for free?” For anyone who knows me (or Lauren), they know that I despise just giving away an entire catalogue for free. Maybe if it were free to make songs, I wouldn’t mind lol. How could we say that we aren’t fans of giving away music for free, and then give it away? What’s up with that?

One day while driving, I popped in a CD of one of our unfinished songs. The message was so powerful, it got me thinking about our community and people in general. I thought about how I kept saying “I want to give back”, but I never really got around to it. With these random thoughts in my head, I jumped on my Gmail to share them with the one person I needed to share them with…Lauren

After our discussion, we came to the decision that we would make our album available for FREE. While it’s not necessarily a groundbreaking announcement, it is an important one. It’s simple. Instead of buying our album for $9.99, we want to encourage people to use that money toward a good cause…A cause that we both believe in and feel strongly about.

With that said, we’ve partnered with a local charity, and we will reveal that information soon. We thought long and hard about this, and felt this was the right thing to do. For those who decide to download the album, all we ask is that you consider donating. Even if it’s only a dollar, you’ll still be contributing to something that will reach those in need.
